Open’er festival 2018 photography
One of my favorite things in the world are music festivals. I go to at least one each summer and it’s always the highlight of the year. But when I went to Open’er festival 2018 it wasn’t only for fun. This time I was also doing photography for a Lithuanian magazine.
I already posted a blog post with all the Open’er festival 2018 live music photography pictures from the festival which you can see here. Read there for what it’s like to work at a festival when you only want to have a good time. Bands I saw live and took pictures of: Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Years & Years, Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, Noel Galagher & High Flying Birds, Massive Attack, MØ and more. That blog post turned out super long and I had SO MANY other pictures I wanted to share! So had to make a separate one to show the amazing vibe the festival had. The magazine also wanted to showcase festival style, so there’s a lot of outfits here too.
Open’er festival has been one of my favourites for years, as it’s by the sea and a lot of time you get some amazing weather there. So we spend the days by the beach and then go to amazing gigs! On my last film diary blog post you can see some film pictures from our beach time there. This year we had a few days of amazing sunny weather (LOOK at those sunsets we had!). I look at these pictures now and I just want to go back there straight away, love how these came out… But I’m writing this during dreary January, so of course I’m feeling extra nostalgic.
Where should I go next? I’m always on the look out for another great festival, so do let me know of your best experiences. What has been your favorite festival? I usually go for the best alternative/rock line up I can find, but these big festivals have it all really.
