Dreamy London Italian Gardens

One of my very favorite shoots lately has been this dreamy Italian Gardens in London photoshoot with an agency model – Clara Luna from Select Model management. The Italian Gardens are one of the very best locations in London in my opinion (and it doesn’t feel much like London). I’m obsessed with this type of elegant location + floral soft feminine style – I feel like it works so well together.

I had the best model for this as well – Clara Luna is such a natural beauty and looks so angelic in this light and setting. I wanted it to be as natural as can be, so we didn’t even do any make up. We played a lot with shadows and softness of light in some others. I was looking to bring out a feeling of longing, of knowing that summer will soon pass and darker days might come. In some images she also looks angelic, but to me it’s more about the loss of that innocence.

Fashion brands in the shoot

One of my favorite brands currently is Faithfull the Brand. I’m obsessed with all of their collections and all the campaigns they do. They always work with some of my favorite photographers and it always has the dreamiest vibe. So two of the dresses in this shoot are from Faithfull the Brand. It felt really fitting for me! The third long dress is from Nobody’s Child, one of my other favorite brands. I was so happy I found those flowers to shoot with that complimented the colours of the dress!

That’s how I often shoot and find which backgrounds on location to use. When I’m there I look around and take note which outfit would suit which part of the location best. (If it is a test and I didn’t plan as much in advance. For editorials it’s best to visit the location beforehand and plan this before the shoot! Then I’m not as stressed on the day).

I loved this shoot a lot because of the whole energy of the day as well. The sun was shining, it was so warm and lovely. And Clara Luna was just the sweetest to work with! We went for a coffee after and chatted for awhile to finish up this amazing day. I love it when you meet new people and it’s just really easy with them.

It’s done by amazing Carissa from Hearten Made designs (this is the SECOND design by her I have now, the one before this was her creation as well!). She gets my favorite aesthetic just right! So customizable as well, so highly recommend checking her themes out. (not affiliate haha just love it).

I’m also super happy to share that this shoot came out as a fashion story on C-Heads magazine, which is one of my favorite magazines. They made it look very lovely over there as well. It never gets old to see my shoots published!
