California 35mm film diary
I recently posted a HUGE blog post full of pictures from my trip to California, so this time it will be California 35mm film diary. I planned to take a lot more pictures on film, but somehow ended up with a lot more in digital. In the end I only ended up shooting only one full roll of film.
I started quite good in San Francisco, so most of these pictures are from there. With some from Highway one road trip and from San Diego. In fact by the time we reached LA/ Las Vegas, I was just chilling and having the best time of my life, so mostly only remembered to use my phone. It was also quite heavy to constantly carry my digital camera with a huge lens + 35mm film point and shoot. So most of the time I chose one or the other to take with me.
Also, the cute girl in many of the pictures is one of my best friends, Maria. Couldn’t have asked for a better companion for this trip!
If you’re curious what camera I used for these, it was my usual cheap point and shoot – Canon AF35M. (However I always wanted to get a better point & shoot, so only would recommend it if you don’t want to spend money on the more “hyped” cameras). I did this post in the format I usually use for my regular film diaries, as I quite like adding little notes this way. (In my own horrible handwriting. ;D But I guess it feels like it makes it a bit more personal?) Let me know if you like the format or if you have advice on which way you prefer.
Have you ever been to these places? If you have any recommendations for my next visit, do let me know too, as I definitely want to come back. Also if you don’t already, you can follow me on instagram: @ailera
