Lucy – a 35mm film story

Lucy Chappell by Ailera Stone on 35mm filmWhen we did a photoshoot with model Lucy that I recently posted on my blog, we shot some images on 35mm film as well. These were shot on my Canon AE-1 and I think I need to get it checked as I remember taking ages to focus the images, but most of them turned out not as sharp as I wanted them to be. I’d be interested to know what you think about it – if a picture does not have a sharp focus, does that make it a bad picture and it should be discarded? I personally don’t care so much and a lot of my pictures can be dreamy/blurry anyway. And I do still like these images even if they’re not technically sharp.

I also been meaning to incorporate my writing and more creative layouts for a while and I had fun preparing this blog post. Let me know what you think and which ones you like the most?

I’m done
you’re not worth it.
(the breaths still stuck in my lungs)
you’re the gravel under my feet
in a garden
where I buried us
these are the last year’s flowers
